The East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club was founded in 1982 to give voice to the East Bay LGBTQIA+ community. The Club was organized and established to:

• Further equality through the political process and community activism
• Bring together LGBTQIA+ individuals and our allies to achieve equality for all and advance progressive values through the Democratic Party
• Raise the the issue of LGBTQIA+ rights in political campaigns
• Lobby for legislation that advances and upholds the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals

The Club is governed by active board of committed volunteers according to the bylaws of the organization.
